Dear Colleagues,

The Department of English Philology at Yerevan State University, in cooperation with Pyatigorsk State University and the Armenian Association for the Study of English, is pleased to invite scholars, researchers, educators, doctoral candidates, and graduate students to submit presentation proposals for the International Scientific Conference: "Harmonizing Meanings: Linguistics and Communication as Instruments for Multicultural Polylogue."

In today's multilingual and digitally interconnected world, language serves as a powerful instrument for enhancing mutual understanding, preserving cultural diversity, and fostering meaningful communication across societies. This conference aims to provide a dynamic international forum for promoting current developments in linguistics, communication, language education, literary studies, and intercultural dialogue.

Conference Objectives

The key objectives of the conference are to:

• Promote interdisciplinary research in linguistics, communication, literature, and related fields.
• Explore innovative theoretical and practical approaches to multilingual and multicultural communication.
• Examine the role of language in shaping identity, culture, and social interaction.
• Investigate the impact of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and media discourse on language.
• Encourage international academic cooperation and strengthen scholarly dialogue among researchers from diverse backgrounds.
• Provide opportunities for early-career researchers and doctoral candidates to present their work and receive constructive feedback.

Submission Guidelines

Presentation Format

• Working Languages: Armenian, Russian, and English.
• Duration: Presentations should not exceed 30 minutes (followed by Q&A).

Submission Requirements

Please submit your proposal by email. It must include:

1. Author Information: Full name, academic title, and institutional affiliation.
2. Presentation Title.
3. Abstract: Up to 300 words, formatted in Times New Roman, 12 pt.
4. Preferred Mode of Participation: Onsite or Online.

Registration & Participation Fees

Participants may pay the registration fee according to their country of citizenship and preferred payment currency:

Note. The amounts indicated in Russian rubles and Armenian drams are fixed registration fees and are not subject to recalculation due to exchange rate fluctuations. Registration fees are only payable after the official acceptance of your abstract.

The Committee also welcomes proposals to organize and chair plenary or thematic panel sessions (up until October 20, 2026).

Important Dates

Publication & Awards

• Proceedings: Following the conference, selected peer-reviewed papers will be considered for publication in the official conference proceedings and/or an international scientific journal.
• Scientific Committee Awards: Awards will be presented in the following categories:
  • Best Research Paper
  • Best Early-Career Researcher Paper

Additional Information

Cultural Program: 

• On the day following the conference, participants will be offered to join a cultural excursion showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Armenia.
• Those interested may also participate in the farewell lunch (€30)
