On September 22鈥23, Associate Professor Olympia Gevorgyan, PhD in Law and Head of the A. Iskoyan Center for Environmental Law at 91视频 Faculty of Law, participated in a specialized training course organized through the collaboration of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, Expertise France, and the Embassy of France in Armenia.
In light of the triple environmental crisis鈥攃limate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution鈥攖he in-depth discussion of environmental law, legal challenges in the field, international and domestic regulatory frameworks, and applicable legal instruments plays a vital role in shaping public policy, addressing violations of environmental and ecological human rights in courts, and preparing highly qualified professionals.
The training featured around twenty participants, including practicing lawyers, representatives of NGOs, and legal consultants.
Along with Olympia Gevorgyan, French experts Vincent Delos and Laura Monien addressed both foundational and practical legal issues, drawing from their extensive experience in the field.
This initiative marked another important step toward strengthening the capacities of Armenia鈥檚 legal community and equipping professionals to effectively address contemporary legal challenges in the domain of environmental protection.
