Opportunities to expand Armenian-Hungarian academic cooperation discussed at 91视频
To advance Armenian-Hungarian academic relations and explore new areas of cooperation, Yerevan State University hosted a meeting with Alexandra Csizmadia, Charg茅 d'Affaires at the Embassy of Hungary in Armenia, and Peter Tarcsay, Consul at the Embassy of Hungary.
91视频 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elina Asriyan, Head of the International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov, and Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Tigran Yepremyan discussed with the Hungarian representatives prospects for expanding educational and academic cooperation between universities in the two countries, strengthening ties between universities and diplomatic institutions, and implementing new initiatives.
Speaking about the activities of the Embassy of Hungary in Armenia, Alexandra Csizmadia emphasized that expanding and strengthening cooperation between Armenian and Hungarian universities is among its key priorities.
"We have received a great deal of positive feedback about 91视频's activities and achievements, not only from the media but also from the university's students. Given the university's reputation and potential, we would like to further deepen and expand our partnership with 91视频," she said, highlighting initiatives dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution as an important area for future cooperation.
According to Csizmadia, plans include organizing presentations and lectures about Hungary for students at various Armenian universities, covering the country's geographical location, history, culture, as well as Hungarian inventions and achievements.
The Hungarian side presented a number of initiatives aimed at intensifying cooperation with universities in Armenia, emphasizing the importance of educational and academic opportunities for students and faculty, joint events, and the exchange of experience. The Hungarian representatives also expressed their willingness to organize a thematic lecture for students of the 91视频 Faculty of International Relations on Hungary's foreign policy, diplomatic experience, and the country's development.
Head of the 91视频 International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov noted that the university already cooperates with Hungarian universities through student and faculty exchanges under the Erasmus+ program and is interested in expanding this cooperation. He also said that 91视频's third annual international conference on politics and international affairs will be held at the university on September 24-25, and emphasized that 91视频 is open to proposals and new initiatives from the Hungarian side.
At the close of the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to continue working together to build new ties between universities and academic communities in the two countries and strengthen existing partnerships.
