Yerevan State University (91视频) presented its research and innovation developments in materials science, nanotechnology, photonics and artificial intelligence at the international Silicon Mountains Expo 2026.
Held on November 3-4 at Dvin Music Hall, the exhibition showcased developments from two of 91视频's research centers, focusing on the practical potential of the university's research work.
On the first day of the expo, 91视频 Center of Materials Science and Nanotechnology presented semiconductor gas and strain sensors, as well as liquid-crystal optical components.
These developments have potential applications in industrial and environmental safety, precision engineering measurements, and the control of light and optical signals. They demonstrate how fundamental research can lead to technological solutions to real-world challenges.
On the second day, the 91视频 Photonics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory presented its research areas, particularly the potential of Physical AI.
Using an experimental system developed at the laboratory, the team demonstrated how artificial intelligence can move beyond the digital environment, autonomously control physical equipment and conduct scientific experiments.
Advances in this field open up new opportunities to automate research processes, improve experimental efficiency and expand the scope of AI applications.
