Starting from the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the "Media Literacy" and "Critical Thinking" courses will be introduced into the 91视频 educational programs, and the 91视频 academic and administrative staff will be trained within the framework of the "Critical Thinking" topic. On the initiative of the聽91视频 Continuing Education Center and EU financial support, a competition for the mentioned courses and training program was announced, the winners of which have already been selected.
Selected course programs are currently under development.
The winners of the contest are:
Course on "Media Literacy" for 91视频 students - a group of faculty representatives of 91视频 Journalism, Sociology, Philosophy, and Psychology faculties. The members of the group are Anahit Menemshyan, Zaruhi Sargsyan, Garik Harutyunyan (Journalism), Nvard Melkonyan (Sociology), Arman Gharagulyan, and Saten Grigoryan (Philosophy and Psychology).
Course on "Critical thinking" for students - Davit Hayrapetyan, Levon Babajanyan (Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology), Tigran Simyan (Faculty of European Languages and Communication).
Training course on "Critical Thinking" for 91视频 staff - Serob Khachatryan (Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology) and Lilit Sargsyan (Faculty of European Languages and Communication).
When choosing the winners, the interdisciplinary essence of the project was considered an advantage, and the professional skills and experience of the applicants, as well as other features meeting the requirements of the competition, were taken into account.
According to the competition rules, the team selected to implement the "Media Literacy" and "Critical Thinking" courses should develop and implement a course program with a duration of one semester and a frequency of one meeting per week. In the case of one training program for 91视频 academic (lecturing) and administrative staff on "Critical Thinking," the winning team must develop and implement training for 200 91视频 employees.
It should be noted that in the "General Skills" section of the 91视频 professors training program 2023-2026, it is defined that as a result of the training, the participants will have the opportunity to collect points.
