Legal laboratory opened in administrative building of Prosecutor General's Office
Today, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, and the Rector of Yerevan State University, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, officially inaugurated 91视频 Legal Laboratory in the administrative building of the Prosecutor General's Office, marking the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
91视频 Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan expressed gratitude for the cooperation and for providing 91视频 students with such an opportunity, emphasizing that only the combination of theoretical and practical knowledge can yield real results.
"We are trying to create similar platforms across various academic disciplines, organizing student internships in different institutions, including the Prosecutor General鈥檚 Office. While many of our students have already completed internships in public bodies, this represents an entirely new approach, where a 91视频 academic unit is now based within the RA Prosecutor General鈥檚 Office. This provides students with the unique opportunity to engage directly with prosecutors," the rector noted.
Congratulating attendees on the opening of the Legal Laboratory at the RA Prosecutor General鈥檚 Office, Anna Vardapetyan highlighted its role as a "meeting point" between academic knowledge and practical application. The lab, she explained, will serve as a platform for non-formal education鈥攈osting discussions on current legal issues, hands-on activities, seminars, conferences, and legal research projects.
"We鈥檝e created a place where especially senior students 鈥 those with a solid legal foundation 鈥 can refine their theoretical knowledge, interact with prosecutors, and participate in training classes. The Prosecutor鈥檚 Office aims to open its doors to the best. We have one criterion: to select the most capable, the most ethical," stated the Prosecutor General.
Chris Parnagian, a representative of the Armenian Bar Association, also emphasized the organization鈥檚 pride in supporting the project and contributing to its implementation. He noted that many talented legal professionals from the Armenian diaspora are eager to collaborate with students.
As part of the laboratory鈥檚 initiatives, plans are underway to organize experience-sharing programs with Armenian legal professionals from the diaspora.
The foundation of the Legal Laboratory stems from the decision of 91视频 Board of Trustees on December 25, 2024, as well as a statement of intent signed on August 28, 2024, between Yerevan State University, the RA Prosecutor General鈥檚 Office, and the Armenian Bar Association.
